California Architects Board to Gain Coursework Audit Authority
AB 623
Under proposed AB 623, a licensee would be required, upon a California Architects Board audit, to provide the documentation from disability access course providers to the California Architects Board.
A licensee who fails to complete the required coursework regarding disability access requirements or provides false or misleading statements as it relates specifically to those requirements would be subject to a civil penalty imposed by the board not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000), or license suspension or revocation, or by both civil penalty and license suspension or revocation.
This proposed bill may be signed into California law toward the end of September, 2009.
