California Architect's License Renewal Fees to Double?

Existing law imposes various fees on architects and applicants for a license, which are deposited in the California Architects Board Fund, a continuously appropriated fund. 

Under existing law, the fee for renewing a license may not exceed $200.

Under proposed AB 1145, the fee for renewing a license would increase to a maximum of $400.

This proposed bill may be signed into California law toward the end of September, 2009.
